A young man has handed himself into police after CCTV video of a cat being swung by its tail was released by authorities.
The man, 20-year-old Riain Richards, was interviewed by the RSPCA before giving himself up, The Sun reported.
The video released by police showed the cat, a two-year-old named Mowgli, being swung around by its tail outside the Camden Arms in Ramsgate, Kent.
He was given up to the RSPCA by a number of people who called the animal welfare agency, upset by the footage.
The RSPCA said of the cat attack: "The man has been interviewed and released while the investigation continues."
