День 1

Boarding the Eurotunnel at 1.30 in the morning!


Under the sea in a train - never gets old!


A third of the way down France and time for a power nap



Two-thirds of the way down France and we stop for our first puncture repair.

День 2

Casino Square, Monte Carlo, and a lap of the Monaco GP circuit.


First mountain pass: Col de Turini and this marks the start of the Route des Grandes Alpes (Great Alpine Road).

Morning! What a quaint hotel, and its views of the French Alps are just serene.



Some members of the hotel staff just can't get up for work!

Arrived Austria and although a little late, our hotel (Glocknerhof) fixed up some food specially for us.

16th pass: Nockalmstrasse




Porsche Museum in Gmund, Austria, the birthplace of the first Porsche named vehicle - the Porsche 356.

День 7

We depart from our 2nd hotel in Austria


And head straight for the 17th pass: Grossglockner High Alpine Road. We stopped along the pass to view Pasterze glacier near Grossglockner - at approximately 8.4 kilometers in length, it's the longest glacier in Austria and in the Eastern Alps reaching from the 3,453-metre Johannisberg to 2,100 metres above sea level.
