IPO is a script file that INPA uses. Each module has its own IPO.
Tool32 and DIS use PRG and GRP files that do the same thing.
So you use Tool32 to find the PRG file that works for whatever module you are seeking to read. Then you look thru the INPA SGDAT folder for a file of roughly the same name.
Then you have to customize INPA to use it by adding it to the proper table in the CFGDAT folder in either BMW ALT ENG or MOTOR ENG files. Watch the commas and the 8 spaces used in the first field.
For instance...the M60 non EWS uses the PRG file of M60338K.prg, but there is no INPA IPO available for that. So you have to use Tool32 to read the DME and clear codes.
Whereas the M60 with EWS uses DME338D0 or D1 in Tool32 and DIS, and INPA uses DME338DS.ipo
You will be able to fine a INPA script on that car for everything BUT the DME for use in INPA. I have.
